Sun and Soil, Water and Worms, Plants and Pesticides…and HEMP

Standard

I am no expert. I have never been a farmer. I don’t even garden much. So why would I know anything about the Earth/Plant life cycle?  It has to do with worms. I actually worked as a salesman for a worm co-op at one point. I would arrange lectures about worms, the potential of worm castings (manure from worms) and the market demand for organic fertilizers. During my events, I would often have guest biologists from local universities come and give a sort of ‘Soils 101’ for guests. So here it is, for what it’s worth, the best a lay-person such as myself can recall.

Soil is not Dirt.

Dirt is dead. It is crushed minerals broken down through the forces of nature. Soil is alive! It is a rich panoply of micro-organism and vegetable matter in various stages of decay. Good farmland is made up mostly of soil. As vegetable matter decays it is broken down by animals, insects, nematodes and micro-organisms. The by-product of this process are the deposits of nutrients that plant roots need. Thus the cycle of life. Plants grow, they are eaten or broken down by nature, which results in decay which feeds smaller living organisms, which produce the nutrients needed by plants to grow.

The Sun and Water

The sun is the primary energy source which drives this process. Water is the conveyance of this cycle. You can think of the sun like sipping through a straw. When the sun hits the plants, it “sips” the water which causes it to come up through the roots and stem. The genetics of the plant, combined with sunlight and water cause leaf and fruit and oils and seeds and everything else the plant produces. The plant puts off oxygen and more and then animals and insects can feed.

Worms

Worms are the multiplier of this effect. Worms do ingest particles of soil, but they aren’t really “eating” the soil. The process that takes place in a worm is that it feeds on the fungi and microbes attached to that particle of soil and they incubate life for the micro-organisms that benefit from this process. What comes out of a worm is that same particle of soil now coated a rich biology of life-giving nutrients for plant roots. They turn the soil, aerate the soil and cause the soil to retain water closer to the surface where plant roots can reach it

Pesticides, Chemical Fertilizers and Growth Agents

In our industrialized age, we have invented an abundance of chemistry to “help” with plant production. We can grow crops faster, larger, deeper in color and more resistant to weeds, disease and pests. Unfortunately, many of the chemicals we use today actually kill the soil, kill the worms, and turn our soil into Dirt. Each year, more of the chemicals are now needed to continue plant production. The larger, more colorful vegetables and fruits are now only hollow shells with greatly reduced nutrient content compared to the produce of generations past. We need to eat much more of the fruits and vegetables to get even a portion of the nutrients that used to be available in the slower, uglier produce grown naturally. The farmland is burning out (partly because there are no longer any worms in it), and farmers are now dependent on chemical fertilizers – much like an addict becomes dependent on what makes him sick – lest the farmers go bankrupt for having no crops.

Hemp

Hemp is not the cure-all for this vicious cycle we have got ourselves into, but it can help. Hemp outpaces weeds, is naturally pest resistant and grows at amazing rates without chemical enhancement. Best of all, it produces one of the most human-friendly crops on Earth. Hemp seeds, oils and leaves are amazingly great for human consumption and entire civilizations have had hemp as a staple since mankind has walked the Earth. Additionally, hemp crops provide a restorative component to damaged soils. It can be used as an alternative crop in rotation for wheat and for cotton to “rest” the soil. Hemp is even being grown around Chernobyl to help restore irradiated soil.

There is much to do in getting the word out about all the great benefits of hemp. For now we are trying to combat the propaganda and monetize the movement by giving it a pay plan. If you are interested in learning more about that, join me at http://www.ProfitFromHemp.com

Healthy Seeds, Healthy Mind

Standard

The research keeps pouring in. Studies on the benefits of Hemp Seed, Oil and Root to the human body are happening at an increasing rate throughout the world. Don’t believe me? You can Google “Hemp Seed Research Studies”, “CBD Research Studies” or “Hemp Health Benefits” (you could start with www.mycbdresearch.com) and you will get thousands of results from studies around the world. One article even suggests that Hemp seeds contain similar fatty acids to those of the human brain and can help prevent Parkinson’s and Alzheimers and improve memory, reduce anxiety and depression and improve your mood. It seems that consuming these healthy seeds may truly contribute to a healthy mind, literally.

It has become cliche in America that if you truly believe you can achieve something, then you certainly will!  A positive mindset contributes to a healthy mind as well. This is true in research, in physical performance and even in business. Belief, MINDSET, is the key to unlocking new heights in almost any endeavor. It is MINDSET above all, mine and yours, that will either limit us from reaching or elevate us toward our goals. And, it is the new positive mindset toward this re-emerging industry that has me so fired up right now.

I believe that we can move as a people toward new heights by embracing the benefits of HEMP and letting go of our prejudice toward the psychoactive effects of it’s cousin. I do not promote the idea of getting “high” for the sake of getting high any more than I would promote the idea of getting drunk for the sake of getting drunk. But if beer had all the healthy benefits of CBD rich Hemp Oil, I might just be taking a new look at that as well.

If you want to explore the possibility of reaching your financial goals by taking part in the HEMP movement, then come check out what is going on at http://www.ProfitFromHemp.com.

Building a “Home” from hemp

Standard

I have spent most of my life in the construction industry, either as a builder and installer or as an estimator and salesman. I love the idea of creating, seeing the results of my days work and being part of something that will bring usefulness, joy and comfort for many years. As the Hemp industry expands, more and more actual building materials are being formed from Hemp, including bricks to build houses that are in some ways harder than concrete! Here is an article about Hemp bricks, though there are many more

Building is also a metaphor for me. I view the idea of building like building a lifestyle, building a financial future for my family, building character and so much more. It is about adding usefulness, joy and comfort in so many ways. I have been searching for a long time for an industry in which to build something really great. I want to help others build their futures and reach their dreams and provide for their families. This industry, the Hemp industry, is where I am building my career now. The potential from Hemp is so huge and it is just beginning. The industry encompasses textiles, fuels, health and wellness, lifestyle products, agriculture, textiles and on and on. If you add to that the potential of the Network Marketing industry, where everyone benefits from building up people, demonstrating leadership, teaching positive mindset and taking part in a synergy of effort, then I believe anyone can build a real “Home” for themselves professionally.

If you have aspirations and goals for yourself in your career, if you are looking for an industry that is poised for exponential growth and if you want to find a positive place to grow as an individual, then join with us at http://www.ProfitFromHemp.com. I look forward helping you grow the greatness in you.

Easter, Rebirth and Hemp

Standard

Ok, The Hemp Industry never actually died, it has just been hibernating for many years here in the West. Since the season is Spring and today is Easter I have been thinking a lot about renewal, rebirth and things that come alive once more. Ice melts into flowing rivers and streams, hibernating animals begin their foraging once more and dormant plants begin to bloom again. We celebrate the rebirth of Christ, we watch with wonder as animals brigng forth their young and we kindle new romances as we begin to congregate outdoors once more.

In the same way, Hemp as an industry is entering a rebirth here in the U.S.. After many years of illegalization, misinformation and smear campaigns, a new birth of education, discovery and awareness is upon us. Hemp is now legal to culstivate once more, research about the medical benefits of CBD oils is growing exponentially and new products derived from this wonder plant are popping up like flowers everywhere!

The prospects seems limitless and the movement seems strong to those of us who are working inside the industry, however I know that I may still encournter good people who are still having to thaw out some Wintery misconceptions. No worries and no hurries. I find it hard to be anything short of thrilled while basking in the warmth of so much new and positive light in this industry.

If you want to come along for the ride and discover some of the new products coming from wonderful, healthful CBD oils – including healing balms, vaporizers, beauty products and even a healthy alternative to energy drinks – the discover our company at http://www.ProfitFromHemp.com. I will see you there.

You May Just See a Seed, but I See the Leader in a New Forest

A new forest of plants that will end deforestation, produce better paper, plastic and oil without pesticides or contaminants. A new forest that will produce better fuel, fiber and fabrics. A new forest that will create thousands of U.S. jobs, grow in every climate and strengthen the economy. You May Just See a Seed, but this Seed has the Power to Answer the DREAMS of Many. – Billy Funk

Billy is a leader in Kannaway, a relationship marketing firm I have joined. Kannaway is about being part of the revitalization of the Hemp industry in the U.S., especially with lifestyle products. As a Colorado resident, I have heard little else in business news recently other than about marijuana legalization. Even Michael Chong, famous for “Cheech and Chong”, is going to be part of a marijuana shop in Pueblo.

I have a different focus, however. I have been reading so much about cannabis, marijuana, hemp and especially the health benefits, that I just wanted to be part of the movement. I do not smoke or intake any THC products. I don’t really need the ‘high’. I do want to promote the health benefits of CBD oils. This is a personal journey for me since I have always been interested in natural cures, healthy living and food as all we should need to be healthy.

Hemp is high in CBD oil and produces a seed that is incredibly healthy for human consumption. All of the products being distributed by Kannaway will have ingredients derived from Hemp. Here is to being part of a great movement!
